Biography: Bowman studied with James Pappoutsakis and Julius Baker. In 1978 he was a Leonard Bernstein Fellow at Berkshire Music Center at Tanglewood. He has been the principal flute for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra since 1990. Formerly he was the principal flute of the American Symphony Orchestra at Bard College, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and Portland Symphony Orchestra. His teaching experience includes the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston Conservatory of Music, Harvard University, Brandeis University and MIT. He has recorded for CRI, Nonesuch, Telarc and Gunmar labels.

Biography: Garner was the first flutist to receive the DMA from Juilliard. His early flute studies were with his father, Gary T. Garner; later studies with Julius Baker. Garner is active as soloist, teacher and recording artist in New York area. He has had numerous performances with the New York Philharmonic. Principal flutist with the Atlantic Sinfonietta, New York Virtuosi and Virtuosi Quintet. Master classes and concerts in China, Korea, Japan, Canada, Europe and throughout the U.S. Solo performances in Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall with Julius Baker, Jean-Pierre Rampal and John Steele Ritter. Recordings: Koch International Classics, Capstone Digital, Golden Crest Digital. Faculty, Juilliard Pre-College Division (1983–present) and New York University. Garner is on the NFA board of Directors.

Heather Verbeck has an active career as a performer and teacher. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Arizona State University and The Studio, her teachers have included Bradley Garner, Jack Wellbaum, Trevor Wye, Trygve Peterson, Eric Hoover and Maralyn Prestia. A recipient of scholarships from Arizona State University, Brevard Music Center, and the College-Conservatory of Music, she was awarded a Frank Huntington Beebe Fund Scholarship to study in England with Trevor Wye at The Studio.
Ms. Verbeck is a winner of the WGUC Auditions, Arizona Flute Society Masterclass Competition, a prize winner in the NFA Orchestral Audition and Masterclass Competition and a finalist in the Myrna Brown Competition. In addition to her private studio, in the fall of 2003 she was appointed to the flute faculty of her alma mater, the College-Conservatory of Music where she teaches undergraduate and graduate flute students and a weekly Piccolo Class, a unique CCM tradition started by Jack Wellbaum.
Ms. Verbeck was principal flutist of the Arc Ensemble, a group she played with from its inception in 2000, and with whom she performed the Concerto of Jean Rivier as a featured soloist. Other performances of note include a performance of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 with the Starling Chamber Orchestra and she was featured on two concerts at the 2005 National Flute Association's Annual Convention in San Diego including the Gen X Concert, an annual concert which features up and coming young flutists. In 2008, she again performed at the National Flute Association Convention on a program honoring piccoloist Jack Wellbaum.
She and her husband, percussionist Brady Harrison, have a flute and percussion duo called the Milton Street Chamber Music Society and have been featured in several recitals including concerts in Lexington, Kentucky as a part of the Lexington Philharmonic's Audible and Edible chamber music series, in Cincinnati as part of Xavier University's Spring Music Festival and the Cincinnati Flute Symposium Concert Series.
She is the Master Class Director for The Garner Malibu Flute Symposium, where she is also an artist teacher. In addition to her recital performances, Ms. Verbeck has performed with several orchestras including the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic and the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra.
